EU recommends Covid tests for Chinese travellers
European nations were urged to impose Covid tests for inbound China travellers.
It looks increasingly likely tests will be required to enter an EU member state.
Random testing on arrival could also be implemented.
“Member States agreed on a coordinated precautionary approach in the light of Covid-19 developments ,” a statement said.
Health policy is the responsibility of individual governments.
China has criticised countries for mandating pre-departure Covid tests
The US, India, UK, Japan and others have announced restrictions on travellers from China.
