Eurostar and Eurotunnel back in operation
Services have resumed on Eurostar and Eurotunnel after a power failure forced a suspension yesterday afternoon, but some affected passengers face further disruption.
Trains were suspended between around 2pm and 6pm yesterday while technicians fixed the problem in the tunnel.
Eurostar cancelled several trains and said although services should be back to normal today, it’s team is still dealing with the backlog.
"Our team are working through all the exchange requests we’ve received currently; please bear with us and we’ll confirm as soon as we can," it told passengers.
Meanwhile, Eurotunnel services were cancelled and were hit by delays yesterday evening but the operator said services were now running to schedule in both directions.
It had offered passengers the option to switch to ferries.
