Eurostar cancels trains due to French strike
Four Eurostar services have been cancelled and others could be dropped due to a strike by French public sector works on October 18.
The cancelled services are: 9003 06.22 Paris – London Waterloo; 9049 17.43 Paris – London Waterloo; 9012 09.09 London Waterloo – Paris and9040 16.12 London Waterloo – Paris.
The company is to run an amended timetable on the day and warned that other services may be subject to delay or possible short notice cancellation.
Travellers are being advised to check Eurostar.com for further updates.
“Due to the likely widespread disruption across the transport network in France, Eurostar is advising all travellers not to travel if at all possible,” a company statement said.
“Travellers who choose not to travel will be able to exchange their tickets for travel within the next 60 days.”
