Eurostar enjoys bumper half-term business
Eurostar is expecting to carry 10% more passengers this half-term than during the school break last February due to a combination of competitive prices, Valentine’s Day falling in the middle of the week and good ski conditions across the Alps.
It said it will carry more than 230,000 passengers on its trains between the UK and Europe over this week.
Commercial director Nick Mercer said: "This has been one of our busiest February half-term weeks for several years. School holidays are always popular, but our service is particularly busy this year.
"With the perfect skiing conditions we are enjoying at the moment our direct ski services to the French Alps are virtually sold out next week."
The cross-Channel train operator only has availability towards the end of this week.
