Eurotunnel adds online self-catering
Eurotunnel is to offer self-catering accommodation via its website.
The vehicle carrying Channel Tunnel company has forged a deal with special operator Leisure Direction to make villas, gites, mobile homes, campsites and holiday villages available via www.eurotunnel.com.
The self-catering option, which goes live today, follows Eurotunnel adding an online hotel booking service through Active Hotels last December. The Channel Tunnel operator claims that the website accounted for more than 60% of its bookings last year
Eurotunnel’s passenger division director Jo Willacy said: “We’re delighted to be working with Leisure Direction to offer our customers a fantastic selection of self-catering accommodation options throughout France and beyond.
“The Eurotunnel travel experience is all about giving people the freedom to do what they want on a self-drive holiday, so teaming up with a self-catering accommodation provider is a natural extension.”
Leisure Direction commercial director Deborah Potts said: “We greatly look forward to this exciting working partnership and giving customers even more choice when they go away.”
