Evidence is in: drinking causes accidents
A suit against US Airways by a West Virginia man who fell down an escalator after drinking was dropped, said the Associated Press. The lawsuit filed in circuit court in Fort Myers, Florida, said the airline didn’t warn Floyd Shuler about the adverse effects of drinking alcohol on a plane. But Mr Shuler said in a news release that the suit was never intended to be filed, and that it was a mistake. The suit alleged US Airways was negligent by failing to warn Mr Shuler that the effects of alcohol are greater at night on airline passengers. Damages in excess of $15,000 were sought. –Report by David Wilkening–
