Exeter Airport reopens after flooding
Exeter Airport has reopened this morning after flash floods closed it down and grounded flights.
It led to several flight cancellations on Sunday.
The region suffered ‘torrential downpours’ leaving parts of the terminal building ankle deep in water.
The airport said staff worked hard through the night to clear the water.
Cancelled Sunday flights included services to Newcastle, Lanzarote, Edinburgh and Guernsey.
“Passengers are advised to check with their airline for the very latest information about their flight,” the airport said.
