Expedia and Hilton strike distribution deal
Hilton, fresh from unveiling a deal with Active Hotels, has now signed an agreement to supply Expedia with 400 of its properties.
The partnership will see the chain distribute through Expedia.com, hotels.com and hotwire.com.
Hilton International commercial operations director Jurgen Fischer said: “We are pleased to join forces with Expedia in a manner that supports our mutual commitment to customers.
“Expedia is able to deliver tremendous value to Hilton International to help us effectively market our properties.”
Expedia partner services group president Paul Brown described it as a “great relationship.”
As part of the deal, Expedia will have a direct connection with Hilton which reduces the cost of each transaction. It also makes it more efficient and cost-effective to manage stock and rates available on Expedia through Hilton’s central reservations system.
Hilton yesterday announced it will begin distributing through Active Hotels in November.
