Expedia cuts 20% off early bookings

Expedia.co,uk has cut up to 20% off 2007 holidays for bookings made by the end of November.

The discounts apply to travel between January 1 and August 31, 2007 and include beach and family holidays, city breaks and long haul trips.

The online retailer’s managing director Caroline Cartellieri said: “Online travel is largely responsible for customers making ‘eleventh-hour’ bookings and whilst this did used to yield the cheaper deals, this is becoming less apparent.

“We hope that Expedia’s ‘Early Bird’ campaign will encourage travellers to change the way they shop with us and benefit from the savings.

“The campaign is a departure from our deal-led promotions and offers our customers a great incentive to book their 2007 holiday early, with some fantastic savings to be made on our most popular trips.”
