Expedia enhances package holiday service through Comtec partnership
Online giant Expedia has enhanced its package search, price and book service by adopting Comtec’s WebSell Pro technology.
The solution enables travel companies to customise and improve the user experience.
WebSell Pro gives Expedia more flexibility to do things like add in discounts to packages at any time.
The system also makes the booking process simpler, faster and clearer for customers.
Expedia’s director of retail Robin Sutherland said: “We constantly strive to enhance our customers’ online experience. WebSell Pro enables us to apply the knowledge we’ve gained since launching www.expedia.co.uk in 1998, by tailoring the customer experience based on our research and the customer’s preferences and needs. This will further improve our package holiday offerings and take-up”.
Comtec already supplies Expedia with a charter flight search and booking tool, which automatically feeds charter airline information into expedia from Comtec’s Transaction Centre.
Comtec sales director Richard Turner said: “WebSell Pro is Comtec’s next generation e-commerce solution. Our portfolio of WebSell services including White-Label, Professional and Bespoke modules ensures travel organisations of all types and sizes can exploit e-commerce opportunities according to their business priorities and budget.”
