Expedia ‘selling well’ on Eurostar.com
Eurostar says it is “extremely pleased” with the way its customers are dynamically packaging Expedia product with its own.
The European train operator struck a deal with Expedia owners, InterActive Corp Travel (IACT) to offer its products with train bookings. The deal means Eurostar customers can put together hotels, car hire and insurance with their train bookings. IACT also hopes Eurostar customers will book its tour, excursion and restaurant product.
A Eurostar spokeswoman told TravelMole: “Our customer feedback tells us that people love the one-stop shop and especially enjoy the more unique add-ons like wine tours or boat trips.
“It is selling extremely well and we will release some figures in a month or so once it has had a chance to bed down a bit.”
The Expedia product has been available on Eurostar.com for about two months. It is the only partner working with Eurostar at present.
IACT has similar white label agreements with US partners such as AirTran Airways and Virgin Vacations, but this is its first dynamic packaging deal with a European partner.
