Expedia tries sightseeing kiosks in Hawaii
Expedia launched its Expedia!Fun in 36 newly branded Hawaii Kiosks, including those acquired through the acquisition of Activity World last year.
Expedia!fun provides travelers with a physical location for booking vacation trips, tours and attractions.
“Expedia is bringing its expertise in travel and global relationships with travel providers to help customers plan and have great vacations, and that includes what you do when you get there,” said Jamie McDonald, vice president, destination services, Expedia, Inc.
Since 2001, Expedia has offered a range of activities online for customers interested in saving time and money by booking travel services that enhance their trip in advance.
In Hawaii alone last year, Expedia sent 150,000 people to luaus, 100 couples to the altar, and 37,000 people on helicopter tours of the islands.
With the Expedia!fun kiosks, customers have the option of purchasing these attractions and services during their trip by visiting one of 36 hotel and resort locations on the Big Island, Maui, Oahu, and Kauai.
