Explore Holidays shells out
Explore Holidays has announced what they describe scored a ‘pearler’ of a UK product exclusive for 2008 becoming the only Australian-based wholesaler to provide its clients with access to London’s latest transport system, the ‘Oyster Card’.
To be purchased prior to departure overseas, the revolutionary electronic ticketing system is priced to start from $67* per adult and allows unlimited travel on all London Transport and National Rail services within the Greater London area.
The ‘Oyster Card’ is one of several innovations Explore Holidays has added to its overall UK product mix for 2008 with the release of its ’Britain & Ireland 2008’ brochure.
These include a new soccer-oriented ‘Premier London’ package complete with two nights accommodation, breakfast, an airport arrival transfer and tickets to either a Fulham or West Ham Premier League match.
Prices start from $356* per person twin share. The program can be upgraded to include other London-based clubs.
The wholesaler has also beefed up its London sightseeing range with the inclusion of two nicely off-beat programs – a ‘Central London Bicycle Tour’ and ‘Horse Riding in Hyde Park’.
Priced from $40* per adult, during this cycling tour pass the London Eye, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, Westminster Abbey and Covent Garden.
Famous Rotten Row forms the venue for the one-hour semi-private ‘Horse Riding in Hyde Park’, priced from $192 per adult.
On the London accommodation scene, the Ritz Hotel has now become Explore Holiday’s luxury flagship.
Explore Holidays is also featuring a cruise component in the new brochure, specifically a seven-day/six-night trans-Atlantic crossing on board Queen Mary 2 priced from $2649 per person twin share.
