Extended Stay ventures outside US for first time
Extended Stay Hotels opened its first hotel outside of the US in downtown Ottawa, Canada.
The 218-room hotel formerly known as the Aristocrat Suite Hotel was recently acquired by HVM, parent company to Extended Stay. The hotel has been re-flagged the Extended Stay Deluxe Ottawa.
Extended Stay Deluxe is the hotel chain’s new upgraded, mid-scale offshoot brand.
Amenities include full kitchens, free voicemail, wireless internet, laundry facilities and DVD players in all rooms.
Said Gary DeLapp, HVM’s president and CEO:
“With this acquisition, we can now offer our guests a portfolio of more than 670 hotels in 44 states and two countries.”
He added the chain other acquisitions were pending.
