FAA seeking record fines for unruly fliers
The Federal Aviation Administration has proposed the largest fines yet on two unruly passengers. FAA air passenger fines of $82,000 and $77,272 for separate incidents on American Airlines and Delta Air Lines flights in July 2021.
“It’s one thing to be grumpy on a flight. … It’s another thing to endanger flight crews and to endanger fellow passengers; we have no tolerance for that,” Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said.
