Far East specialist ceases trading
Far East specialist Lee’s Travel has gone bust, according to the Civil Aviation Authority.
Its announcement that the North London-based company had ceased trading came a week after the parent of Forever Cruises missed a payment to IATAs billing and settlement plan.
Lee’s Travel also traded as Oz Flights, Fly Club and Sumoflights.com. In August, it moved its registered office from Berkshire to China House in London’s Edgware Road.
An ABTA member, it was licensed to carry 4,975 passengers a year. The Civil Aviation Authority said it was currently collating information from the company and will be updating this shortly.
The business was originally founded by Hwee Yiow Lee 47 years ago, according to Lee’s Travel website, but it was run by his son and daughter, Simon and Jasmine, after it was incorporated in 1995.
