Faster commissions

Sunday, 05 Oct, 2004 0

Marriott’s new agent site offers direct commission deposits on a 24-hour basis, the company says.

The offer is for Preferred Travel Agencies.

The new site enables graduates of the Hotel Excellence (HT) travel agent training program to find and reserve Fam-Tastic rates and other special packages.

Marriott says the new look of the site makes it easier for the general travel agent to navigate. Some new attributes also include a brand comparison tool and a 24-hour internet help desk.

“When we interviewed our Preferred Travel Agencies, they told us they wanted faster commissions, easier access to information that will assist the sales process, 24-hour support and self-service commission inquiry access,” said Fred Miller, vice president of global sales.

Marriott says it remains the only hotel company worldwide to offer a double commission guarantee. The program basically guarantees that an agent receives a commission check within 15 business days or else the amount is doubled.

The new site can be accessed at www.marriott.com/travelagents.
