FCm boosts presence in Asia

FCm Travel Solutions has appointed a new leader to oversee the FCm network’s growth in Asia.

The global corporate travel management consultancy has acquired Singapore-based Air Services International, a locally owned corporate business established in 1973.

FCm will merge the business with its existing operations in Singapore, effectively doubling its presence in the market.

Together, the businesses are expected to generate about $50million in total transaction value during 2010-11.

The deal coincides with the appointment of Suyin Lee as general manager of FCm Asia, a role that includes oversight of the business’s Asian partner network, regional sales and account management.

Lee is a long-time employee of Flight Centre Limited and has worked in various roles for the global travel company, including general manager of FCm’s Greater China business for three years.

“The Singapore business will become a key regional hub for Asia within the next 12-18 months,” Lee said.
