For warm hearted festive experiences, few places do it better than the communities of the Finger Lakes, New York.

See A Christmas Carol come to life in Skaneateles, NY, from November until December 25. There are horse-drawn carriage rides, Christmas carols, and interactions with characters during Dickens Christmas.

In December, the Genesee Country Village & Museum puts on Yuletide in the Country, an immersive experience displaying unique past holiday traditions.

Seneca Falls, NY puts on The Real Bedford Falls experience in partnership with the It’s A Wonderful Life Museum, full of festive activities, presentations, and appearances by several of the film’s cast.

The Finger Lakes region is brimming with Christmas holiday cheer as each city and town brings their unique personality to help celebrate the season.

The Granger Homestead & Carriage Museum hosts the Canandaigua Christkindl Market in mid-November, where over 120 artisans sell holiday goods to kick ofo the festive season.

Early December in Ithaca, NY, the Ice & Lights festival brings ice carving, light art, and a silent disco.

In Rochester, MLK park is transformed into the ROC Holiday Village throughout December (until Christmas Eve). It features festive shopping, winter igloos, ice skating, story time with Santa, and a Lodge Bar with games and festive drinks.
