Final nominations for Shine Awards 2008
Nominations close on Friday (October 31) for the Shine Awards 2008 for Talent Management.
The awards, which have been running since 2004, honour those who are attracting, developing and retaining the best people in travel tourism and hospitality.
In the past they have celebrated the achievements of individual females in the industry, but this year the awards will also honour the achievements of companies.
“Now more than ever before we need to find reasons to stay positive, reminding ourselves of all the good things we have achieved as an industry, as companies and as individuals,†said Alessandra Alonso, joint director of Shine People and Places, which is organising the awards.
“The Shine Awards provide the perfect channel to showcase your success and motivate and inspire your colleagues and clients.â€
The individual award categories include Female Entrepreneur of the Year, Corporate Woman of the Year, and Young Achiever of the Year.
The new company categories are:
– Company of the Year for Attracting Diversity of Talent
– Company of the Year for Talent Development
– Company of the Year for Leadership in Coach-Mentoring
– Company of the Year for Flexible Working and Work-Life Balance
– Female-headed Team of the Year
Entries can be made online at www.shineawards.com.
The awards ceremony takes place on November 26 at the ‘Orion’ building at London Metropolitan University.
The money raised at the ceremony will go to the Family Holiday Association.
