Finland specialist folds
A company specialising in tours to Finland and other parts of Scandinanvia and the Baltics has collapsed.
London-based ABTA member Finlandia Travel Agency, also trading as Nortours (formerly Norvista), was unable to meet its liabilities and has ceased trading, the association said.
Finlandia is the 37th ABTA member to have gone out of business this year. One part of its business was running trips to see Santa Claus in Lapland featured in a dedicated brochure.
ABTA said the majority of the company’s business was licensable and ATOL-related enquiries or claims should be referred to the Civil Aviation Authority.
All non-licensable or retail claims will be handled by ABTA’s claims department.
