First ever online RFP tool for car rental is launched
ETABid has launched the first ever e-RFP tool for car rental contracting, automating every step of the tendering process for corporate travel buyers.
The online car rental tool is initially available in customised versions for the UK and US markets and can be used for national or multi-national tenders.
Since launching in 2004, ETABid has also launched fully automated RFP tools for travel management companies and self-booking tools.
Buyers that have used ETABid to date include Siemens UK, Smith and Nephew, Tesco and Dana Corporation.
“The tool brings greater pricing transparency than is usual to the car rental process,’ said ETABid managing director Karen McGee.
“For instance, buyers can look at all the responses and see that a particular rental company is the most competitively priced everywhere except for compact cars in New York or vehicle delivery in Edinburgh. They can then go back to the supplier and negotiate on those particular points.”
