Travel wholesalers, tour operators and incentive organisers involved in developing product to Vietnam, Cambodia and Laos are being invited to participate in the International Travel Exhibition Ho Chi Minh City 2007 (ITE HCMC 2007) being held in the southern Vietnamese city from October 5 – 7.

The third ITE HCMC – the first to encompass all of Indochina – is being organised by the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism, the Vietnam Trade Fair and Advertising National Company and Singapore-based Binet Exhibitions Pte Ltd under the banner “Unveil the Charms of Indochina Circles: Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos”.

Discounted airfares will be made available to travel industry personnel who register online at www.itehcmc.com before June 30 and qualify as fully hosted buyers or travel managers.

“All successful fully hosted buyers shall commit to attending 24 appointments over the duration of the event with exhibitors of their choice,” according to conference organisers.

Fully hosted travel industry staff will receive a number of other benefits including three nights of complimentary accommodation, a tour of city highlights plus access to conference functions in the Phu Tho Exhibition Centre in Ho Chi Minh City and discounted post exhibition tours within Indochina.

A remnent of the French colonial era, the circa 1883 Notre Dame Cathedral is one of many interesting sights delegates will visit on the city tour.

A number of social activities, destination presentations and buyer/seller meetings are also being scheduled during the three day event.

In 2006 the event attracted more than 600 exhibitor personnel from 136 seller organisations ranging from attractions, airlines and adventure operators to ecotourism operators, golf courses, hotels and national tourist offices.  The three day event attracted over 2500 trade and corporate buyers last year.

This year all figures are expected to soar because of the inclusion of travel providers from Cambodia and Laos for the first time.

The pan Indochina travel exposition is endorsed by the Cambodia Tourism Bureau, the Laos Tourism Administration and the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Tourism.

During the course of the expo, the official carrier, Vietnam Airlines, is expected to officially launch the Indochina Air Pass.

Official carrier, Vietnam Airlines, will make several announcements at ITE HCMC 2007.

The carrier which already operates direct flights from HCMC to Cambodia and Laos intends to further stimulate multi country holidays with the introduction of a pan Indochina air pass.

Further details about ITE HCMC 2007 are available from the Singapore-based co-organiser, Binet Exhibitions.  Contact Ms Chong Kam Lin, mobile (65) 9738 0728, e-mail [email protected]
