Five Brits test positive for coronavirus in French ski resort
Five British nationals, including a child, have tested positive for coronavirus in the French Alps.
The four adults and one child came into contact with a British national who recently returned from Singapore.
They were all staying in the same ski chalet in Les Contamines-Montjoie, Savoie, eastern France.
French health minister Agnès Buzyn confirmed an unnamed UK passport holder had ‘recently arrived on a flight from Singapore’ and passed the virus to three other adults and a child.
All are being treated in the Haute-Savoie region and are said to be stable.
Elsewhere, four members of the same British family have been admitted to hospital in Majorca after coming into contact with a coronavirus carrier, who recently tested positive for the virus in France.
