Five hurt in Istanbul explosion
Five people were injured in a bomb blast in Istanbul, which happened near a metro station during yesterday’s evening rush hour.
The attack happened in the industrial and residential district of Bayrampasa on the European side of the city, causing panic close to the station.
The British Foreign Office is continuing to warn British visitors that there is a high risk of terrorism in Turkey, hence they are advised to be vigilant.
The country has been on alert for attacks since October when 103 people were killed by two suicide bombers who blew themselves up during a pro-Kurdish peace march in the capital Ankara.
