Five-star air travel at $6500, one-way
Eos Airlines may not be for the budget-minded, but its combination of luxury and upscale ambiance has proven to be popular since it started service late last year.
The airline offers only business class services with luxury hotel-style amenities. It flies from New York’s JFK Airport to Stansted in London.
Boeing 757 airplanes designed to hold 220 passengers have been reconfigured for 48 mini-cabins. The cabins double as flat beds.
Eos also offers personal entertainment units with access to dozens of movies, television shows and games.
Boarding and de-plane times are shorter than regular air travel. Eos’ pricing is $6,500 for an unrestricted fare. That’s well under British Airways $9,250 price, according to BusinessWeekonline.
