‘Flagship’ Park Inn for London
The Rezidor Hotel Group is to open a property in Russell Square in London next month.
The former Bonnington Hotel comprises 214 rooms, a restaurant, bar, 14 meeting rooms and a fitness area.
The building is being renovated with most of the rooms being completely re-designed.
Rezidor will take over the hotel and re-brand it as Park Inn from February 1.
The opening is part of expansion plans by the group that will see 20,000 rooms added to the brand between 2007 and 2009.
Kurt Ritter, president and CEO of Rezidor said: “Park Inn is our dynamic, fresh and fastest growing brand and we are especially proud to open a real flagship property in London, one of Europe’s key markets.”
Other Park Inns are planned for Bratislava and Dakar.
