Flash flight sale prompts overnight queues
Dozens of customers camped overnight outside a London branch of STA Travel in the hope of bagging £49 flights to Malaysia.
People began queuing on Monday for the tickets to Langkawi, which went on sale at STA’s London Victoria and Manchester stores this morning.
Just 49 tickets were sold on a first-come first-served basis. Everyone who arrived in the queue by 9 am today but after position 49 went into a raffle to win a final £49 ticket.
STA also sold 25 return flights in the London store at £149.
