Flight attendants slam ‘unsafe ‘quarantine guidelines
The CDC’s updated quarantine guidelines have been heavily criticized by the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA International. The CDC now recommends people should only isolate for five days if they’re not displaying symptoms.
Sara Nelson, president of the AFA says the wishes of ‘corporate America’ have taken precedence over workers’ health. Airlines had lobbied CDC director Rochelle Walensky to reduce the previous 10-day isolation.
Nelson fears flight attendants could be forced to return to work before fully recovered.
