Flight Centre acquires UK MICE business
Flight Centre Travel Group is bolstering its UK presence in MICE travel.
It announced the acquisition of Fresh Approach Travel for an undisclosed fee.
Fresh Approach is a specialist meetings and events agency, in business for more than 20 years.
Current CEO Lee Harris and the leadership team will stay on to run the business from its offices in Manchester and Edinburgh.
It is on track to generate about £18 million this financial year.
Fresh Approach will become part of Flight Centre’s meetings and events divison.
“Fresh is a quality business, with a strong market reputation and blue-chip client roster, that elevates our position in an attractive sector and gives us broader capability to support our corporate customers,” said Flight Centre MD Graham Turner.
“With this addition, we can deliver a fully integrated meetings and events offering in the UK.”
The value of the acquisition has not been disclosed.
