Flight Centre to double in Scotland
Flight Centre UK is doubling its retail outlets in Scotland and hiring up to 30 more staff. Over the next two years the independent retailer plans to open up to a further seven outlets. It is looking into cities with existing outlets such as Edinburgh and Glasgow, but is also investigating Inverness, Aberdeen, Stirling and Perth. It currently has about 100 retail outlets in the UK. Flight Centre area manager for Scotland, Kenny MacLeod said: “We are one of the only travel retailers expanding on the high street that caters for the independent traveller. Independent travel is one the fastest growing sectors in Scotland therefore we want to expand to cater for this growing market.” The retailer is looking for up to 30 travel consultants for its Scottish centres.
