Flightscanner heads Down Under
Dolphin Dynamics is to market its web-based search and booking tool FlightScanner in Australia.
The UK-based software development company has struck an agreement to distribute the system to the Australian travel trade.
Dolphin has appointed TIAS Technology as distributor of all FlightScanner technology, including the travel agent web-based tool and booking engine technology.
Dolphin president Roberto Da Re said: “This announcement follows on from our previous distribution deals in Spain and Italy as well as our agreement with Sabre.
“We are delighted to be collaborating with TIAS especially because of their reach into the Australian market and their vast experience of marketing reservations systems.”
Dolphin believes Australia and Asia Pacific region are significant markets for flight search engines due to the dominance of low cost carriers such as Virgin Blue and Jetstar.
