Throughout the past 29 years, the Spherion Orlando Citrus Parade presented by Delta Air Lines has grown from a local event into an annual extravaganza, drawing crowds of up to 85,000 and television viewers in the millions via an internationally-syndicated broadcast.
Distinguished by floats made from over 100,000 pieces of citrus, the parade is recognized as one of the nation’s largest sports-affiliated parades, making it a unique experience for families and a beacon of community spirit. This year’s parade takes place on Tuesday, December 30, 2008, and will once again welcome Chris Harrison as this year’s co-host for the event.

The parade will be one of three FCSports signature events taking place over a span of six days that are ideal for group events. Just days before step-off of the parade, the Champs Sports Bowl kicks off at the Florida Citrus Bowl Stadium (Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008 at 4:30 p.m.). Then just 48 hours after the parade ends, the Capital One Bowl rings in the new year (Thursday, Jan. 1, 2008 at 1:00 p.m.). Official team bands from schools participating in both games will perform in the parade.
Along with these great events, there are numerous other reasons to visit Orlando.
