Florida Huddle trade event showcases Tampa Bay
Official travel trade show Florida Huddle turns its spotlight on Tampa Bay from January 24-26, 2022.
This year’s edition will see hundreds of key hospitality leaders, tour operators and media gather, with many of them on their first visit to the US in almost two years.
Visit Tampa Bay worked closely with Visit Florida to bring the appointment-based show to Tampa for the first time since 2016.
As the Sunshine State’s official travel trade show, Florida Huddle showcases Florida to international and domestic tour operators, wholesalers, and travel media with one-on-one appointments, educational sessions and networking opportunities.
This year’s Florida Huddle is expecting more than 300 delegates, including representatives from Florida destinations, attractions and hotel properties, as well as tour operators and wholesalers from key international markets like Canada and the UK.
In addition, over 50 international travel journalists will have the opportunity to participate in a FAM tour, showcasing Hillsborough County.
"Following a record-breaking year for Hillsborough County tourism, we are excited to be the host of Florida Huddle, bringing with us more industry partners than ever before, many for their first visit to Florida in over two years," said Santiago C. Corrada, President and CEO of Visit Tampa Bay.
"Since the last time we hosted this event, Tampa has changed dramatically. Hosting these events will not only showcase the incredible growth and development taking place in Hillsborough County, but will help set us ahead of other destinations as international travel resumes."
For the first time ever, Florida Encounter will coincide with Florida Huddle, showcasing global and domestic meetings and conventions from the Tampa Convention Center.
One of Visit Florida’s signature events, Florida Encounter was established in 1980 and is one of the longest running appointment tradeshows in the MICE industry.
