Flybe adds further routes from Norwich
Flybe is continuing its expansion from Norwich with a sixth new international route for summer 2006 and a new domestic service to Exeter.
The carrier will launch a three times weekly flight to Bordeaux and a daily service to the south coast from May 25.
Frequency on existing routes has also been increased with its daily Norwich to Edinburgh service going to twice daily.
The move follows the earlier announcement that Flybe will introduce services to Alicante, Faro, Murcia, Guernsey and Jersey from next summer. It brings the number of seats on sale from Norwich to 390,000.
Director of marketing Simon Lilley said: “Norwich continues to be an area of expansion for us. With the addition of these new routes to Exeter and Bordeaux, we now offer routes to 15 destinations across France, Spain, Portugal and Switzerland as well as destinations across the UK.”
The expansions is a further boost for Norwich which this year is expected to exceed a record 600,000. A £2 million extension to its terminal and expanded departures lounge and arrivals hall will take the capacity to two million.
