Flybe to launch first international flights from Dundee
Flybe has announced the launch of a third route to be supported by the Government’s Regional Air Connectivity Fund.
The flights, between Dundee and Amsterdam, will start on May 23, operating every day except Saturday. They will be the first international flights from Dundee and they will allow passengers to connect to onward destinations at Schiphol Airport.
Flybe has already announced the launch of services from Southampton to Lyon and between Exeter and Norwich with the backing of the Regional Air Connectivity Fund this summer.
The Government has committed a total of £56 million funding for three years to support new routes from airports with fewer than five million passengers a year.
In addition to its new flight from Dundee, Flybe announced today the launch a new daily service from Manchester to Lyon on August 1.
