Fog disrupts flights for second day
Air passengers have endured a second morning of severe delays and cancellations as fog disrupted services at several UK airports, including London City, Heathrow, Manchester and Southampton.
Once again, the majority of early morning flights into and out of London City were cancelled today due to poor visibility at the Docklands Airport. Yesterday the airport almost ground to a standstill for several hours due to fog.
Passengers at Manchester Airport also suffered many cancellations and long delays this morning when fog descended for a second consecutive day.
The majority of flights into and out of Southampton were delayed or cancelled this morning, and Heathrow Airport also reported some flight disruption.
Passengers are advised to check their flight status with their airline before travelling to the airport.
