FOR GRAHAM: easyJet serves major airports advertorial
easyJet’s strategy is to fly to main airports and more than 300 million Europeans live within a hour’s travel of one of the 124 points now served by the airline.
"We won’t fly to out of the way airfields, from where it costs you more than your airfare to get a taxi to the city," said easyJet regional general manager UK Paul Simmons. "We know our business travellers don’t want that and we won’t do it.
"That separates us from other low-cost carriers."
easyJet launched 34 new routes from its European bases this winter, giving it a total of 540 routes across its network. "That gives us the best air network within Europe, or as we like to put it – we’re painting Europe orange!" added Simmons.
Twelve new routes have been added from the UK alone this winter, the latest of which was to Luxor in Egypt.
