Former Carnival exec named as new SeaWorld CEO
SeaWorld Entertainment has tapped former Carnival executive Gustavo Antorcha as new CEO.
Antorcha takes over on February 18.
He was most recently chief operating officer at Carnival Cruise Line and succeeds John Reilly who served as SeaWorld’s interim CEO.
Reilly becomes chief operating officer.
Antorcha was also a partner and managing director at Boston Consulting Group.
"His unique combination of strategy, operations and leadership skills make him the right person to lead SeaWorld through its next phase of growth," said Yoshikazu Maruyama, board chairman of SeaWorld.
"Gus helped deliver strong financial results and improved guest satisfaction at Carnival."
Antorcha said: "The organization has an outstanding group of dedicated employees who, together, have a clear focus on improving execution, enhancing the guest experience and growing revenue."
