Former Monarch boss joins Stobart Air as non-exec director
Former Monarch Airlines boss Tim Jeans has joined the Board of Stobart Air as non-executive director.
Jeans, who was also Ryanair’s commercial director and headed up Mytravel’s low cost airline, joins as part of a major reshuffle.
Former BMI Baby boss Julian Carr has joined as managing director of the airline.
Carr, who will take up his role on May 6, joins from US-based cinema chain National Amusements, where he was chief executive of the company’s UK operations.
Sean Brogan, who’s been interim chief executive at Stobart Air since 2012, has been appointed chairman.
Finance and investment consultant Yvonne Deeney also joins as non-executive director.
Stobart Air, previously called Aer Arann, has a 10-year franchise agreement with Aer Lingus and has also recently signed a franchise agreement with Flybe.
It wants to develop similar franchise agreements with other airlines.
