Former Spice Girl Geri gives sneak preview of Virgin Voyages’ suite
New cruise line Virgin Voyages has given a sneak preview of the top ‘Mega RockStar’ suites on its Scarlet Lady ship, which will launch next year.
There will be a total of 78 ‘RockStar’ suites onboard, including 15 Mega RockStar Suites to be named ‘Massive Suites’, ‘Fab Suites’, ‘Posh Suites’ and ‘Gorgeous Suites’.
A video featuring Virgin boss Sir Richard Branson and former Spice Girl Geri Horner showcases the ‘Gorgeous Suites’.
All Mega RockStar Suites will have a dedicated hair and makeup crew available on request and guests will have unlimited complimentary drinks onboard, plus a free personalised bottomless in-room bar.
They will also receive complimentary laundry service, plus the option to curate bespoke activities in any port-of-call, tailored to fit individual needs and requirements, such as foodie experiences or private tours of local landmarks.
Mega RockStar guests will be taken care of by ‘RockStar Agents’ from the time of booking.
Designed by Tom Dixon’s research studio and inspired by private mega yachts and rock and roll style icons like Grace Jones, the Mega RockStars Suites are primarily located on deck 15 of the ship and include unusual features such as outdoor showers.
Sir Richard said: "I just love the idea of RockStar Suites. They celebrate Virgin’s musical heritage and how I got my start in the music industry. Geri and the Spice Girls were a wonderful part of that so I can’t imagine anyone better suited to give our RockStar Suites a whirl. Geri certainly looked like she had a great time! I’m very excited for our sailors on Scarlet Lady to feel like rockstars too."
Horner said: "Virgin Voyages’ RockStar Suites are the perfect blend of luxury, glamour and a little bit of rock and roll opulence – exactly the way I like to enjoy my holidays. After thorough testing, I think it’s safe to say these suites are rockstar-worthy and ready for Scarlet Lady’s debut next year. Everyone deserves to feel like a rockstar at some point in their lives… You’re in for a real treat!"
