Four Seasons names global business development EVP

Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts has appointed Bart Carnahan as new executive vice president, global business development.
 
Carnahan will take over on November 9 and will have overall responsibility for global development working with Four Seasons’ development teams around the world.
 
He joins the company from Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide where he served as senior vice president acquisitions & development, EAME for the last eight years.
 
In this role he oversaw Starwood’s business growth strategy in Europe, Africa and the Middle East for all of the group’s hotel brands.
 
"Bart’s impressive record of success, sophisticated understanding of our industry and the development landscape, as well as his ability to recognize and realize new development and conversion opportunities, will be instrumental in helping us advance our global growth objectives," said J. Allen Smith, CEO, Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts.
 
Carnahan also spent 18 years at Marriott International in various senior roles including senior vice president of development.
