Fred. Olsen Travel names New Managing Director
Fred. Olsen Travel has appointed a new Managing Director.
Julie Berry, who joined Fred. Olsen Travel in the spring, steps into the role with a wealth of industry experience.
Prior to joining, she spent six years in consulting roles for various companies across a range of industries, including Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines.
Before that she spent over 20 years at Thomas Cook, holding senior roles across tour operating, commercial, cruise, customer experience and transformation.
The appointment follows the retirement of Steve Williams earlier this year and an interim period which saw Sam Stimpson, Chief Executive of Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, take on the role of acting Managing Director.
Belinda Mindell, Chair of Fred. Olsen Travel Ltd, said: “I’m delighted to welcome Julie to Fred. Olsen Travel and am confident that under her strong leadership the business will continue to thrive.”
“I would also like to thank Sam for all her support during this transition. Her contribution has been much appreciated.”
Julie Berry added: “I’m excited to be joining Fred. Olsen Travel and to build upon the exceptional work done by Steve Williams and the team. We have an incredibly talented team in place and I look forward to working with them all.”
