Free seminar on how to meet the needs of elderly travellers
Age UK is holding a seminar on Tuesday June 25 on meeting the needs of elderly travellers.
The free seminar will look at the importance of accessible and inclusively designed public spaces and how the travel sector can benefit, to meet the needs of our rapidly changing demographic.
According to Age UK’s Engage Business Network, 52% of people aged 50 and above travel abroad at least once a year and 23% said they want to travel abroad more often.
Feroze Varavia, terminal duty manager at London Gatwick is attending the seminar and will be discussing the challenges tackled at the airport to ensure it is fully equipped to support the growing number of older travellers and passengers with reduced mobility.
Other speakers include Ian Rowe from Ian Rowe Associates, Nicola Mathers from Cabe, and Martin Jones from Retail Lab, DeMontfort University
The seminar will take place at Vincent Suite C, The Building Centre, Store Street, London WC1E 7BT tomorrow at 1:30pm – 5pm.
