Freedom consortium provides forex options
Independent agency consortium the Freedom Travel Group has started a foreign exchange scheme offering members four different options for selling currency.
Freedom4X claims to provide agents with the ability to earn additional revenues of up to 2% of currency sales depending on the option chosen.
Additional benefits include training and support for members on managing and selling foreign currency.
The first two Freedom4X options include a full foreign exchange bureau and a mini foreign exchange bureau (with only a secure desk required). The other two options include a mail order service with next day delivery to branch, customer’s home or airport collection and pre-sealed cash packs carrying up to 50 or 100 Euros.
The consortium has signed its first member to the scheme, Freedom Travel in Saddleworth, Lancashire, which is trialling the full foreign exchange bureau service.
Freedom general manager Trevor Davis said: “Freedom4X rides on the back of the United Co-op Travel Group’s extremely successful foreign exchange service. We expect most members will take it up and would be disappointed if they did not exceed sales of £25 million in the first year.”
