Fringe Responsible Tourism Networking Event for WTM
The first event was held in 2007 when YourSafePlanet and The Blue Yonder, two companies devoted to promoting responsible tourism, decided to organise an evening in London for friends and colleagues visiting WTM from across the globe. What they didn’t expect was the amount of interest and support they received.
Now two years later that first event has grown into a global community of like-minded individuals who meet regularly both online, thanks to webinar technology, and offline during trade events like WTM and ITB events in Asia and Berlin.
"We were glad to see the excellent crowd turn out. This was a good platform for many new initiatives on Responsible Tourism to be connected. Considering that almost all of the participants were new faces, the event reiterated the need for such platforms to network amongst practitioners, buyers and sellers. " Gopinath Parayil – The Blue Yonder
This year they are hosting another evening event during WTM Week in London for all grass roots, responsible tourism organisations who wish to ‘meet, engage and inspire’!
The Fringe RT Network Event @ WTM is generously sponsored by The Blue Yonder, Travel To Care, Rough Guides, Intrepid and Tripbod (the new commercial arm of YourSafePlanet and social media partners – Make Travel Fair and whl.travel
