Frontier Airlines scraps ‘Covid recovery fee’
Frontier Airlines has decided to scrap a ‘Covid fee’ the airline had recently introduced. The fee was to fund ‘increased sanitation and cleaning onboard’ as well as PPE for emplyees.
It quietly started charging passengers an extra $1.59 per flight segment in May which was included in the fare rather than as a transparent add-on fee.
"To avoid misinterpretation, the airline will discontinue the practice of breaking out this category within its overall promoted fares," the airline said.
