Frontier faces ‘fraudulent bag fee’ lawsuit
Low cost carrier Frontier Airlines is facing a $100 million class action airline lawsuit.
The suit alleges Florida resident Amira Hamad was wrongly forced to pay bag fees.
The airline offers a free bag with dimensions no larger than 14 inches tall, 18 inches wide and 8 inches deep.
On check-in she said she was forced to pay $100 as the airline deemed it larger than the size limit.
Her bag wouldn’t fit into the bag sizer.
Prior to her return trip Hamad used Spirit Airlines’ bag sizer and it fit perfectly.
The airline lawsuit claims Frontier is using a smaller bag sizer ‘to fraudulently induce sales.’
Hamad’s lawsuit is seeking damages for herself and other Frontier passengers.
