Galileo offers airport parking and lounge access
Airport car parking firm BCP claims to be the first company of its kind to distribute through Galileo.
The company is to make airport car parking and access to airport lounges bookable via the GDS.
A direct interface created between Galileo Viewpoint and BCP’s system will enable agents to use point and click technology to make bookings via the Galileo Desktop, using their standard agent log in.
Agents can also integrate bookings into ViewTrip, which provides customers access to their itineraries, e-tickets and expense receipts on a 24-hour basis. Accessed via the internet, ViewTrip also allows customers to view real-time changes to itineraries booked via Galileo.
BCP sales and marketing director Eric Campus said: ”We continually monitor the market to ensure that we employ the best suppliers to help us exceed our customer’s expectations. Galileo has offered us the chance to create an additional user-friendly interface and we, in turn, welcome the opportunity to offer agents a simplified booking process for BCP’s airport parking network and also airport lounges.”
Cendant Travel Distribution Services UK & Ireland regional managing director Jason Clarke said: “The partnership with BCP gives agents a quick and easy mechanism for booking ancillary products through Galileo, allowing them to tap into an additional revenue stream and, at the same time, providing an enhanced service for their customers.”
