Garuda Indonesia, Saudia deepen codesharing pact
Saudi Arabian Airlines has strengthened its codeshare alliance with Garuda Indonesia, offering through ticketing to destinations in Australia as well as domestic connections in both countries.
The expanded partnership includes onward flights and one-stop baggage handling to Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
Garuda passengers can now book through tickets to Saudia’s domestic destinations including Riyadh, Dammam, Al-Qasim and Tubuk.
The pact also covers some Saudia short haul international connections in Morocco, Turkey, Bahrain and Spain.
"It will open up additional flight options and reduced journey times by flying with the two carriers, in addition to making it even easier for loyalty card members of each respective airline to accrue and redeem miles for future travel," a Saudia statement said.
The two Skyteam partner airlines began codesharing last year.
